This year I have introduced a Saddlery safety course in my workshop where clients can bring their own saddle and bridle and I will teach them how to spot problems with their tack. Roughly a 2.5 to 3 hour course £35 includes tea, coffee. & biscuits
Good for riding school owners for their staff to learn as well as teaching yards, they can send their students for training It is important that all riders can spot potential dangers with their tack, whether made with leather or man made fibres.
Small classes, no more than 5 students as limited for space.
Each student will receive a folder with their course work which they keep at the end of the lesson.

What type of leather is mainly used in the trade with samples shown
How to inspect and identify problems with your leather or man made materials used to make your tack, plus damaged and weak fittings, problems with stitching.
